Trend report – 80s shimmer

80s style dominated the catwalks at London Fashion Week, particularly when it came to jewellery. Designers including Ashley Williams sent out models wearing oversized crystal earrings with powersuits and sharp shoulders – as Vogue reports:

Gone are the days when threadbare gold jewels daintily adorned our lobes. These new, throwback-minded earrings are equal parts kitsch, costume, and glamour.”

We’ve been reworking 80s shapes since we launched last year, and our Polka Sparkles in Midnight Black are an elegant interpretation of the trend. Perfect for your new season wardrobe!

The London Fashion Week colour palette

Two shades made a bold statement on the #LFW catwalks this season – pink and oxblood. From powder pink and rich raspberry at Alexander McQueen to sugary sweet pastels at Preen, Pink’s strong showing was matched only by Autumn/Winter staple oxblood, which was seen everywhere from Mulberry to Roksanda.

Exhibition – ‘Vogue 100: A Century of Style’

British Vogue has been around for a century and to celebrate, this exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London’s Leicester Square looks back at a hundred years of (very stylish) history.

There are so many little details to enjoy in this gorgeous show – from portraits of beautiful people to a library of bound copies to flick through. A must for fashion fans – it’s on until 22nd May.
