This week we’re talking colour. From bold blues to zesty yellows, rainbow hues are key for the spring/summer season but many women shy away from colour in favour of forgiving black. And we want to change that! Keep reading for more on how to introduce colour to your wardrobe, and let us know what you think on Facebook or Twitter.
We’ve also got the lowdown on Vogue 100 Festival, and a look inside the May issue of Vogue Magazine (featuring yours truly!). Exciting stuff!
How to wear colour
We’re big fans of bright colours here at Toolally HQ – when it comes to our jewellery, our motto is ‘go bold or go home’. Colour combining is one of the things we do best, and we’re passionate about creating chic, colourful pieces that are easy to wear.
We talk to lots of women day in, day out and one of the things we hear the most is ‘I love it, but it’s too bright for me’. Even the most confident, trailblazing women with strong personal style shy away from bold shades. Throwing on an all-black ensemble is easy, we get it – everyone looks good in black. But we truly believe everyone looks good in brights, too – you just need to find your perfect combination.
A more colourful you
The key to wearing colour is to introduce a little at a time. Swap your black jeans for blue tailored trousers, go for a bold red lip instead of your usual pink gloss, or ditch the delicate studs for a pair of our statement earrings. As your confidence grows, you can experiment with clashing shades and top-to-toe colour to really embrace the look. And you’ll feel far more fabulous than you ever did in boring black – we promise!
How to wear colour – swap your jeans for tailored trousers in a soft shade, then add a bold utility shirt. Finish the look with a pair of our statement earrings – we love these Diamond Squares in sunny Lemon.
