Magsy is back on home soil for London Fashion Week. If you missed our roundup of NYFW, you can read it here.
Turning our attention to London, there were some very exciting shows on the runway for us this past week. Her Majesty The Queen even made an appearance at Richard Quinn’s show! From favourites Roksanda to JW Anderson, see our edit of the best pieces.
Monday morning was made much brighter with the Roksanda show. Strong tailored pieces and soft browns was the running theme for its AW18 collection, along with some beautiful blues and yellows. Silk has been all over the runway this season and Roksanda has not missed out on this trend – we approve!
Wear with… Peacocks, Arctic blue
You might have seen that Erdem Moralioglu is a hot favourite to design Meghan Markle’s wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Prince Harry. We loved his collection, inspired by Adele Astair, dancer-turned-royalty and this showed through his use of velvet and floral prints giving the collection a regal feel. We can’t wait to feature some pieces in our #SundayStyleGuide later this year.
Wear with… Daisies, black and saffron
We loved all the beautiful dresses on display at the Jasper Conran show. The best thing about these pieces is that they can be worn as they are for summer or pair them with a fab turtle neck or your favourite jacket in winter. They’re a real year rounder. The flattering skirts are effortlessly chic.
Wear with… Mini Boatmen, emerald
The use of prints in JW Anderson’s collection was eye-catching and fun. We particularly loved his use of paisley – one of those timeless prints that just comes back around. We loved the feminine feel of bouncy skirts – this collection will add a breath of fresh air to your wardrobe.
Wear with… Diamond Droplets azure and nude
London Fashion Week has been amazing and we can’t wait to see what’s in store in Milan next week!
