Fashion Week fever has taken over at Toolally Towers with things kicking off in New York on the 8th February. You can see Toolally ambassador Magsy arriving for the show on our Instagram!
At HQ, we’ve been looking out for the latest styles, trends and colour palettes. Here’s our roundup of Team Toolally’s picks from the runways…
Tom Ford Women
Magsy landed on Thursday afternoon just in time for the Tom Ford Women show that evening. A supreme nod to the 80s, this collection had everything from animal print to sequins. Tom Ford’s signature tailoring was evident in suit trousers and jackets – a simply stunning collection!
Wear with… Asymmetric Ellipses – black
Fans of our weekly #SundayStyleGuide on Instagram will know that we’re huge fans of Tory Burch’s easy-style. Set against a sea of pink carnations, the AW18 collection showcased her classic bold prints. Varying shades of blue from rich navy to cool pastel blue dominated along with lots of elegant chiffon. You’ll definitely see more of her pieces featuring in our #SundayStyleGuides!
Wear with… Mini Boatmen – Arctic blue, plum & black
Magsy could not miss the Self Portrait show on Saturday. We’re huge fans and used various Self Portrait pieces in our SS17 campaign. Emily Farra of Vogue said “The combination of masculine outerwear and floaty, ethereal dresses has become somewhat of a mini-trend this week, and it’s a look the Self-Portrait girl can get behind*.” And we couldn’t agree more.
Wear with… HRH – violet
Diane von Furstenberg
Diane von Furstenberg is another designer that we like to feature regularly in our style guides. At Toolally, we love a bit of nostalgia and so we couldn’t get enough of DVF’s use of 70s glamour, with high necks and fringe detail. Naturally, we also loved the use of bold, geometric shapes and colours!
Wear with… Art Deco Chandeliers – nude & mandarin
New York symbolises glamour and nothing says chic like our Hoop Drops in pink frost and chilli red from the LBD collection. That’s why they were Magsy’s choice for the week! Who knows… maybe this time next year we’ll see Toolally on the FROW… or even better, on the runway!
Come back next week for our London Fashion Week edit!
